Dr. John “Jack” Barth is a Professor of Oceanography and Associate Dean for Research in the College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences at Oregon State University. An expert in physics of oceans and atmospheres, Dr. Barth specializes in understanding spatially and temporally variable circulation, water mass structure and ecosystem response in coastal waters. He received his B.A. from the University of Colorado, and his Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution Joint Program in Oceanography.
